Question:
I often bowl around 200 balls three times a week. I am a spin bowler, but this season, my shoulder hurts, locks and clicks when I bowl. The injury has prevented me using my wrist to spin the ball. Could the injury be a rotator cuff tear, or is it just teenage growing pains?

Answer:
This could be a rotator cuff or more likely a labral tear (cartilage). The clicking and locking would of most concern and this should be evaluated by a shoulder specialist and with MRI/arthrogram.
