Hello everyone,

I am new here and could use any feedback possible. I had two shoulder surgeries 3 years ago (slap tear and then subsequently manual manipulation due to frozen shoulder). After the second surgery I started to have a lot of instability with my shoulder. I have been in PT since the original surgery and continue to have a lot difficulties. Earlier this week my shoulder dislocated worse than ever. I went to the dr the following day to get it check out and was sent to the ortho surgeon. The ortho surgeon had recommended to have an MRI with arthogram. I let him know that I had done this the previous year when it was doing the same thing. This surgeon pulled up the previous MRI from a year ago and informed me that I have three tears in my shoulder (one bankart and two on my biscep). I am very frustrated that this wasn't caught sooner but am trying to not focus on that. Instead I am trying to focus on what to do. The ortho surgeon and I agreed to do PT (again) for 6 wks and if it doesn't help surgery. I'm not sure if it will help at all and if I am just wasting time. I'm also nervous that the third try at a surgery could make it worse than it already is.

With all of that being said... has anyone else been in this situation? Any recommendations on what to do now? I'm extremely frustrated and worried I'm just always going to be in pain!!!! Any helpful thoughts/feedback/positive vibes are much appreciated!!! Thank you. -Felicia
