Ohh very sorry to hear that you did not find it effective to heal your pain. Now I think you should not take it easy anymore and consult with your physician or any other orthopedic surgeon.

Hi Rachel, Thanks for your reply, sorry to hear your experience wasn't so good. I have to speak to the consultant today, so have lots of questions to ask. Hope your Op goes ok, good luck. Sharron

I can't help with post op pain as I'm waiting to see a surgeon but I have had 2 nerve block injections for pain relief. The first one was not a sucess at all it just gave me pain down my arm but the second one numbed my shoulder for about 6 hours and I couldn't lift it all day. They were hoping it would last longer so I could do some strenthing exercises. Good Luck and I hope I've been of some help. Feel free to e-mail me any questions I've not answered and I will try to do this. Rachel

Hi, I hoping someone out there can help. I'm currently 8/9 wks post surgery arthroscopic joint stabilization, and am still in alot of pain following the surgery. How long does it take for the pain to go away? After 6 wks of being in a brace the consultant tried to move my arm/shoulder which wasn't successful. He said I had acute inflammation causing severe secondary pain, has anyone else suffered this? I had a cortizone injection which lasted 24 hrs, thereafter the pain put me in bed for 4 days. On Thursday I'm supposed to go back in hospital for 3 days to have a Nerve Block put in so that they can get my arm moving, but I'm really nervous, has anyone else had this done? I was originally only having a bone spur removed, the subluxation was only discovered during surgery and it was apparently so bad he had to operate otherwise it was going to dislocate fully. If anyone has any advise I'd love to here it.
