Most of the time the clicking or snapping is due to everyday use and changes that occur naturally within our joints. but in your case, you said it has been dignosed as multidirectional instability.  You should not worry about the treatment procedures. What is more important here is treating the condition.

I personally think that there is a problem with your shoulder tissues but I am not a physician and I cannot tell anything with confirmation so I suggest you to visit your physician for the thorough solution.

Hi, I'm 16 years old and have been having shoulder subluxations for almost the past 3 years. I finally went to the doctor for it last summer, and he sent me to physical therapy which hasn't done much help. I went back in February because it certainly was not getting better. He ordered an MRI, which showed no tissue damage, but the top of my shoulder bone apparently does not look normal? My doctor diagnosed me with multidirectional instability. He said that if it doesn't get better, or if it gets worse to come back-and it hasn't. Should I really go back? Last time he talked about a capsular shift if it does not improve, but I'm scared of surgery. Also, what could be wrong with my bone? Why else does my shoulder keep popping out if theres no tissue damage? Is it possible that the MRI didn't catch something? Thanks for your help. (:
