Hello,

I had a hemiarthroplasty almost three weeks ago. The surgery itself well, and I went home the following day. Pain has been an issue all along, even in the hospital. I started PT 1.5 weeks after surgery...it's painful and my progress is slow. The thing that is bothering the most, though, it that several times over the last 2-3 days, I have felt my shoulder "slip"...almost like it comes out of the joint briefly and then goes back in. This is accompanied by extreme pain. And since this started happening, I cannot take my sling off (to shower, dress, eat) without alot of pain. I am bummed b/c it seems like what little progress I had made, is now being compromised by this new problem. My therapist has been on vacation, so he doesn't know what happened. I see him tomorrow. Anyone with a hemi experience anything like this so early on in their recovery?

Thanks,
MB
