I would rather suggest you to consult a doctor as your doctor is aware of your physical problems or other health problems. So he/she can suggest you what is really better for you and your body.

I am told that I can either get a fusion or else get artificial knee for 20 years and then perhaps would need an amputation and wheelchair. I don't know why artificial leg isn't an option and Im 45 years old now. Please advise me which direction I should be considering whether fusion or total knee replacement. Thanks. Ralph
