I was reading this site and was hoping that since many of you sound very knowkedgeable that yoyu can offer me some advice. In August 2008 had right Mini OpenRotaotor Cuff repair and decopmression. This healed well with alost no issues at all.! 9 Months later in April 2009 I had Subacromial Decompression on the LEFT shoulder with a partial RTC tear that was just debrided. Took awhile for this "smaller "procedure to heal and to feel better. In December I started shoveling the snow due to the large amount of snow/ice we have had here in New York. I must have had about 6-8 other times where I had to shovel a large amount of snow. Right after this my Left shoulder began to hurt alot. I have limited internal rotation and my upperarm from the crook of my arm ( like right below underarm..,biceps area) down a few inches is swollen. I also get sharp muscles spasms in my upper arm. Went to OS 2 weeks ago and he gave me a cortisone injection that did not help at all. So today my OS said what about PT.. I am a firm believer in PT but I am in a dispute with my insurance company and do not want to pay for PT if it is notgoing to help so I convinced the OS to order an MRI which I will have on Wednesday. I see the OS again on Tuesday 3/23 to see what the results are... I was curious if anyone has had any similar symptoms a yeasr post decompression and what helped.
