 Hello,

i have several recommendations:

1.) get to a shoulder specialist and get a diagnosis

2.) start a scapular strengthening/stability program

3.) strengthen your supraspinatus and external rotator muscles

I am not a doctor, but habe been through a lot of shoulder issues.

Sorry for spelling errors, typing isn't easy from a phone...

No, I am still dealing with the problem. . My right arm is getting to where it doesn't swing as much as my left arm, when I walk, during my gait.  I think I have a Thoracic disc problem.  Pain isn't much worse, but it's getting to where I can't lay on my right side when I sleep.

I think I have a disc that's causing an upper back muscle next to my spine, to be in constant contraction.  Know anything about that?

Thanks in advance!~

Firstly, avoid any activity involving overhead motions, you will have to take a break from your work if you dont want to worsen the condition. Did you consult a shoulder specialist for second opinion?

Hello, guys and gals.

i am new to this site.

i have been having upper back problems, isolated to my right side for a long time.

a chiropractor has just recently told me that I have "shoulder impingement syndrome."

what is known:

*my upper trapezius in my right shoulder is missing.

*on my xray, my numeral head is high, close to the ac joint.

*my right shoulder has dropped, roughly an inch or so.

*i cannot reach my right arm as far up on my back as I can my left.

*any overhead motion hurts, as I am a plumber by trade/career.

any info would be greatly appreciated. What I am concerned with most, is the drooping right shoulder and displacement of my upper trapezius. The ligament in the upper trapezius on my right side, feels as if it isn't there any more.

thanks!
