From article Rotator Cuff TearI was hit by an 18 wheeler while delivering mail in a mail truck for the USPS on 1/29/2008... severe pain in right shoulder/arm...weakness in right hand...numbness/tingling,cannot turn neck, muscle spasms between neck & shoulder...already had several weeks of PT... no improvement...was prescribed pain & anti inflammatory meds & muscle relaxers(pain is worse when lying down at night...wake up with headaches) .... this is a workers comp case & they have done nothing to "fix" me...they referred me to pain management.... after an xray of my neck.... the pain management Dr. took me off pain meds & put me on stronger muscle relaxers...the pain never goes away/meds do nothing to help... muscle relaxer just knocks me out so I can sleep 3 or 4 hrs. at a time... finally he ordered an MRI of my shoulder which showed extensive damage to tendons & nerves. The PM Dr. admitted need for Ortho surgeon but wants to do injections before he refers me to one. I feel like all they want to do is get me back to work and don't care whether the problem is fixed or not ....I need it fixed not numbed...would like some input on this ... federal worker's comp is a real nightmare
